KOREAN FOOD....

Most Famous Korean Food

Korean food has grown in popularity in the Western world over the last decade, mainly due to the influence of social media, where people were able to learn how delicious, healthy, and easy it is to prepare.

The most popular Korean foods are dishes ordered most often in Korean restaurants and those searched for frequently on search engines and YouTube.

If you’re among those who haven’t had the chance to try Korean food and are curious about it, search any Korean  restaurant and try any of it. And if you like to cook, many of these popular Korean foods are easy and  quick to make at home.

1. Kimchi

Kimchi can be made from a variety of vegetables, and even fruits, but the most recognized version — baechu kimchi — is made with cabbage. Alongside cabbage, it often contains radishes, scallions, carrots, garlic, ginger, chili flakes, and other flavorings. Kimchi has a sour, salty, savory, and often fiery taste.

Basic ingredients for kimchi: napa cabbage, radish, carrot, salt, garlic, fish sauce, chili powder and scallions. A sticky, glutinous paste of rice flour is also needed to make the seasoning of the kimchi. Salted napa cabbage before making kimchi.

2. Bibibap

Bibimbap (비빔밥) is a signature Korean dish. This is mixed rice with meat and assorted colorful vegetables. See K-food. Generally bibimbap is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul (seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste), soy sauce.

3. Hangover stew (해장국)

Given South Korea's dedicated drinking culture, it's not surprising that its hangover-curing culture is equally as developed, from pre-drinking drinks to post-drinking drinks to a glorious array of spicy and steamy stews and soups.
Made from a beef broth, with cabbage, bean sprouts, radish and chunks of congealed ox blood, the deeply satisfying taste does wonders to kick-start your sluggish brain in the morning.

4. Samgyeopsal

Samgyeopsal is a Korean dish of grilled pork belly which is not seasoned or just lightly seasoned with sesame oil and salt.
Samgyeopsal, samgyeopsal-gui, or grilled pork belly is a type of grilled dish popular in the Korean cuisine, directly translated from Korean, samgyeop-sal means “three-layer flesh” which refers to the three layers of flesh in the pork belly, the red meat section, the white meat section and the fat.
